Being an African in Germany is difficult.
Being a refugee in Germany is difficult.
Being an African Refugee is twice as hard.

Three refugees talk about the challenges of living in Germany and the way that they - even with this context - still find ways to education and empower themselves, making positive contributions to German society.
  • Sissako Florence will discuss the formation of Refugees Emancipation e.V. and the importance of self empowerment. Sissako provides IT training for Refugees Emancinaption and has a Masters in Public Health from Humboldt University.
  • Mokini Obiri will discuss one of his books "Die Brandenburger Brücke". This book focuses on the lives of refugees in the Belzig Asylum home where he lived as a refugee for years.
